Ecovative is a company that has pioneered the science of mycelium (mushrooms). They grow fully formed products that replace plastics, leather, animal agriculture, and much more.

Ecovative asked us to create a brand film introducing Ecovative and explaining its technology to potential clients, partners, and the public. Our team, led by Executive Creative Director Vasil Hnatiuk, introduced Ecovative’s mycelium as a sustainable Super Material platform that can replace several currently used, environmentally harmful materials through the film. From filming live-action shots to replicating mycelium’s self-replicating scaffolding structure through careful CGI animation work, we showed how easily Ecovative’s mycelium can be grown and how its versatility makes it perfect for use in various industries.
